Park Tavern Bowling

Dan, Wyatt, and I along with Scott, Amy, Kennedy and my mom and dad went bowling to celebrate my Dad and Scott's birthdays.  As we get older it's more fun to watch the excitement in the kid's eyes when they try to roll the ball down the lane.  Wyatt had to give a big hug to anyone who got a STRIKE.  My brother was the one who benefited from that.

Uncle Scott got a strike- hugs for Scott.

And he's off...

Wyatt learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this spring.  First try down a small sloping hill and he was off.  We taught him in the grass at a nearby park.  After that day he only wanted to ride his bike in the grass for fear of falling on hard concrete.  Makes sense....we didn't push.  We'd ask if "today" is the day to ride on the sidewalk but he said, "Not today..."  This went on for months.  Finally in June he said, "Today is the day..." and he was off like he'd been riding his bike for years.  He loves it and can't get enough of his bike.  We're at the point where he likes it so much he's riding it off the ramps at the skateboard park.  The kid is crazy!

Minneapolis United Soccer- High Fivers!

Soccer is by far the sport that Wyatt excels in right now.  He plays every Friday night but he wished he played it everyday.  Mom and Dad just don't cut it in the backyard with a ball and net I guess.  It's so much fun to watch him move that ball down the field.  He's been scoring at least a goal in every game.  We couldn't be more proud.

I wish this photo was in focus but I still had to share.

Happy 4-0, Dan!

So, I'm 12 days older than Dan....go figure!  We had a great night celebrating his birthday with friends and family at Murray's Steakhouse.  We both wanted our birthdays to be low key and this is exactly what Dan ordered.  What a fun night!

Memorial Weekend and my Big 4-0!

I (we) had the most perfect weekend celebrating my birthday with friends, neighbors and family.  Friday night I had dinner with one of my closest friends, Koren, at Kings Wine Bar.  Saturday we had lunch at Hello Pizza.  Sunday night we had dinner with our neighbors, Josh and Jill, at their house.  And to celebrate my actual birthday on Monday I really wanted to go to Benihana.  For some reason I LOVE that place.  Some people think I'm crazy, but I can't get enough :)  Thanks everyone for making it a very memorable weekend.

We seriously didn't plan our outfits!

Last Day of Preschool at St. Stephen's

Wyatt attended St. Stephen's Preschool this year and I can't say enough good things about it.  The teachers, the staff, the director- all phenomenal!  We lucked out and I'm so thankful Harrison and Wyatt got in last minute.  Thanks to Amy, our daycare provider, for moving to Bloomington to make this happen.  I'll truly miss Mrs. Carr and Mrs. Andrews for all their hard work and making Wyatt LOVE going to school.

Couldn't get a good photo- Wyatt's Spring Music Concert....he's participating :)  This makes a mom proud!
