Swimming Lessons

Wyatt started swimming lessons at Foss Swim School last night.  When Ipicked him up from daycare he had just took a digger down a hill and scraped his knee really bad along with the top of both feet.  He immediately told me that he couldn't go to swimming- so typical!  I commend the instructors at Foss- they are unbelieveable!  Wyatt sat with his feet in the water and was engaged for the entire half hour.  His feet did okay but it did sting his knee once it got wet but I didn't care I was just so impressed with his engagement.  Momma just sat back and watched!   Terrible cell phone photos- more to come next week.

Week 1

Week 3- LOVING THE WATER!  Before his lesson he decided to run and do a cannon ball.  Thank goodness his instructor, Jenni, was in the water to grab him.  Again, my child has no fear and scared the living daylights out of me.

Week 3- Kicking Away!
Week 4- Noodle Time!
Week 4- Practicing the use of goggles.  Wasn't too fond!  But he graduated from using a dumb bell float to a noodle.  Yay, Wyatt!
Week 4-Practicing the back float- a struggle for him.
Week 4-And down he goes!

Sledding...

It was a perfect day to go sledding yesterday so we tried a new hill.  The hill may have been a little steep for an average 4 year old but with a 4 year old that has no fear- this was perfect!  At the bottom of the hill was Minnehaha Creek...thank goodness Wyatt discovered it after we were done sledding.

Dan and Wyatt getting ready...

Notice the cracked ice and the flowing water to the right- this was making me very nervous!  Dan reassured me that they were safe.  MAJOR ANXIETY!

Who is having more fun?

Snow Angels!

Kid's Workshop @ Home Depot

The first Saturday of every month Home Depot hosts a kid's workshop.  Dan took Wyatt a few months ago and it finally worked out to go this weekend especially since it meant building a wooden race car.  Dan more or less did all the work but he still enjoyed helping out.
