And he's off...

Wyatt learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this spring.  First try down a small sloping hill and he was off.  We taught him in the grass at a nearby park.  After that day he only wanted to ride his bike in the grass for fear of falling on hard concrete.  Makes sense....we didn't push.  We'd ask if "today" is the day to ride on the sidewalk but he said, "Not today..."  This went on for months.  Finally in June he said, "Today is the day..." and he was off like he'd been riding his bike for years.  He loves it and can't get enough of his bike.  We're at the point where he likes it so much he's riding it off the ramps at the skateboard park.  The kid is crazy!
