Girls Night Out

Koren decided a few months ago that Girls Night Out is a must.  It's a new restaurant every month and new faces every month as well.  Some are old friends and some are new- anyone is welcome :)  We celebrated last night at Cafe Maude.

"I'm working!"

When Wyatt is being a helper he always says with a serious tone, "I'm working."  He spent over an hour putting flour/oatmeal in one bowl and placing it in another.  I hope he becomes a little baker like his mommy.

"Big, big scoop!"

Happy Birthday, Megan!

We had an "adult" night out to help Megan celebrate her birthday at Crave Saturday night. As I often say- good times were had by all.

Christine, Amy and I at Coopers beforehand...

with Dan and Mike (Christine's husband).

Megan completely in shock!  Her great friend, Casey,  from Drake surprised her.  No one knew he was coming.

Me and Jayne.

Dan and Tim (Jayne's husband).

Playing at the Park with Luca

Every Wednesday night we try to get together with our neighbor and Wyatt's best buddy, Luca.  This was the first time at the park together since last fall and we can't believe how independent they both are now.  It's almost to the point of kicking back and relaxing on a bench and just watching- almost :)

Wyatt does not stay still long enough for just about anything.  Luca is continuously trying to keep up with Wyatt.  We've nicknamed him "TURBO!"

Perfect Sunday!

Another beautiful spring day in Minneapolis.  We started the morning off with church then headed to Minnehaha Falls via bike.  I haven't been on a "bike ride" for years so when we decided to bike almost 8 miles (one way) to the Falls I was a little leary.  Well, I prevailed.  The path was so scenic the entire way I didn't even notice the distance.  The Falls were amazing but lunch was even more amazing at Sea Salt.  Busy, busy, busy place but if you have patience and time, it's well worth it.  The crab cake was delightful!

Wyattisms

No photo update for this one but a couple fun little things to share.

1.)  The three of us were out and about last night running some errands.  Dan was chewing a piece of gum and Wyatt wanted him to blow a bubble so he could pop it.  You only can do this over and over and over again until it gets old- I could tell Dan was getting annoyed so I offered Wyatt a 1/2 piece of my sugarfree gum.  This is the first time Wyatt has had gum so I thought it would be less than a minute before it was down in his belly.  I kept telling him that he couldn't swallow it and if he was getting tired of chewing it just to let me know. That boy chewed his piece of gum for almost an hour and a half until he willfully gave it to me.  We struck gold!  And he was an angel for the rest of the evening.

2.)  Last night at 3:45 we all awoke to loud thunder.  Wyatt was wide awake so I tried rocking him back to sleep.  I was telling him that the thunder was angels bowling up in heaven but he said to me, "No- he wears glasses and has big shoes!"  Okay.

Happy Easter!

Koren's 2nd Annual Egg Hunt

Koren's egg hunt more than doubled this year and Wyatt enjoyed playing with all the other kids.  He was more thrilled about the playhouse than the actual egg hunt.  He did get a few and ate the chocolate inside right away.  He was more about the quality of the inside versus the quantity.

Cool stud standing next to Zach.  I love the hand in the pocket.

"Mom, can I get one of these?"

"I guess I can share- only one, though..."

Below are pictures from last year's egg hunt.  Wyatt has grown up too fast!

No April Fools Today!

Daddy was working in Highland Park today so Wyatt and I thought we'd be Job Sup's and check in on his work...well, and the owners wanted to meet Wyatt so this was the perfect opportunity.  Then we had dinner at Punch Pizza and went to play at Minnehaha Park.  We promised boats to Wyatt at the Lock-n-Dam but the water was too high and the dam was under construction- next time.  He still enjoyed watching the "Wa-wa."  Oh, and Wyatt is supporting his Minnesota Twins and hope they win their first home exhibition game tomorrow night in the new stadium.
