Iron Girl 2011

We are so proud of Mana Pat and Auntie Kimmy for finishing the Iron Girl.  They've inspired me to join them next year and hopefully I've inspired Megan to join me :)  What a fun day cheering them on.
Auntie Kim just went by on her bike- Wyatt couldn't figure out why she didn't stop.

We had about an hour before we'd see Kim and Pat, hopefully together, for their second loop of the bike portion.  We wanted to be on a hill so they'd be going a little slower- of course the sun was behind the wall which made it a little chilly...

...especially for Wyatt.

I never got a picture of them coming at us because I was too busy screaming at the top of my lungs.  There goes Kim in the long sleeved pink top and Pat is right in front of her.

Wyatt with his cheer sign ready for the last 2 mile run loop.

Kim's to the left of Pat- you can see her pink laces.

Wyatt and Jemma at the finish line.

They did it!

The whole family!

Jesse James Days 2011

Jesse James Days has been a part of our family since I was itty, bitty.  My dad was chairman back in the 80's and since then nothing gets planned the weekend after Labor Day except for a trip to Northfield.  Wyatt is slowly getting into it and this year we took him to his first and our first rodeo.  I'm glad to say I went but I got my fill :)

The Jesse James Gang before the reenactment.

Mana Pat with Wyatt watching the raid reenactment.

Oh, the rodeo!

It was soooooo scorching hot and Wyatt and I took the sidelines for awhile.

The troopers:  my dad, my mom, Larry, Pat and Dan....Wyatt was in the bounce house.

Wiped out!

I love this picture.  This is a photo before the parade started.  The Jesse James Gang is heading to the parade line up and Wyatt is watching with my dad.

"Mom, I see the police lights...it's starting!"

Another hot afternoon.  Micah, Jemma, Wyatt and Aidan.

"More candy.  I'm ready!"

The parade was on Sunday, 9/11/11- I thought they did a great job with this float.

Keeping hydrated.

I don't think he got enough candy.

First Day of Preschool

Wyatt will be attending preschool on Wednesdays with his friends Peter and Harrison.  He was super excited to go and couldn't stop talking about his teacher, Ms Ingrid.  It was a fun first day despite the photo I got of him that morning.  Amy, his daycare lady, walked all three boys to school.  I opted to wait a couple weeks to bring him so he can show me his routine....I can't wait!

This is the photo I got.

Walking to school from Amy's house...I think I see a smile!

Labor day Weekend

We had a pretty low key weekend.  Scott and Sara blessed us with their presence Sunday night, and Johnny too.  We love when they visit...which isn't often enough.

Then on Monday we met them at Canterbury Downs.  Wyatt enjoyed watching the horses.  Best part of the day was watching the weiner dogs race.

Wyatt's New Wheels

Wyatt had no interest in riding his bike until he saw his best buddy, Luca, riding his.  With almost everything he tries, it came very natural for him.  We're proud of our little guy!  Maybe before the snow falls he'll be riding with no wheels :)

Pete the Penguin

We had fun with Play-Doh one gloomy day.  Meet Pete.

Old and Dear Friends

Our dear friends, Craig and Kara Kanis live in Prior Lake with Lauren, 7, and Cavin, 3.  Cavin was born 6 weeks before Wyatt.  They've met before but it's been well over a year since they've seen each other.  You would have thought they were brothers.  It literally took a 30 second introduction to break the ice and they were instantly glued!  We don't see them enough...too much time passes between our engagements but it's like time stood still once we do get together.  Thanks, again, for a perfect summer day and night!

Wyatt's first jump off a diving board...absolutely no fear.
Cavin- he literally does a front flip into the water....he's 3!

Umm, yea....digging in the mulch.

Making silly faces (on purpose)

Boys being boys

Thumper Pond

Dan, Wyatt and I took a three day trip to Thumper Pond Resort in Ottertail, MN this past week.  It was a perfect little getaway: a spa for me, a golf course for Dan and an indoor waterpark for Wyatt.

1, 2, 3 JUMP!

Wyatt chillen in the lazy river

Dan was going way too fast for me to capture a clear picture

LOVED the hot tub

Naked....his favorite past time.  Hanging out in the pillows after a bath.

Ottertail Lake....our little private beach Dan scoped out for us.

Wyatt's dump truck...we never leave home without it.

Collecting rocks, rocks and more rocks.  We let him take 3 home.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

John!
