Merry Christmas!

"OH MY GOSH!  Momma, I asked Santa for Optimus and he brought him to me."  I honestly had tears in my eyes watching his excitement.  So genuine!

Helping Mana Diane set the table.

Suess family tradition-  we line up all the gifts in a train and start opening from the back.

It took Wyatt 5 minutes to figure out his new LeapPad.  Welcome to the world of  technology, Wyatt.

Fun=Uncle Scott!

Happy 4th Birthday, Wyatt!

By the time Christmas came, Wyatt was completely exhausted.  We had his birthday party the Sunday before his actual birthday on Wednesday so he had many celebrations.  I didn't get a photo but he was so excited to bring cookies and juice boxes to school on his actual birthday.  His teacher had a crown and badge for him to wear all day.  He felt super special- I think that was the highlight of the week for him.  We also told him that he was able to pick where he wanted to eat for his birthday- the beginning of the week it was Noodles and then it changed to Chuck E Cheese and his final choice was Bunny's.  Mom and Dad were able to enjoy as well!  Thatta boy!
A Transformers Birthday Party!

Couldn't be a party without Optimus Prime.

Daddy got home just before us on Wyatt's birthday.  Wyatt looked at his name and said, "How did my name get there?"

So, Bunny's doesn't exactly bring out the singing servers with a lit birthday cake singing Happy Birthday.  Our server was really sweet and brought out ice cream for Wyatt.  He used makeshift candles with his crayons- it didn't phase him at all.

Happy Birthday, Buddy!

The best present ever- thanks, Dean!

City Church Children's Christmas Program

Wyatt and his cousin, Micah, were in the preschool portion of our Christmas program at church.  He was so proud that he knew the words and hand motions to his two songs.  Of course they all get on stage and were only interested in ringing the bells.  Nonetheless, it was adorable and they all did a great job.  I wish I had better pictures.  Mommy needs a new camera!

Our Gingerbread House

Wyatt and I thought it would be a fun idea to make a Gingerbread House this year- we've never made one before.  He had the best time putting the candies on the roof and a good job he did!

Mommy didn't do a good job on the wreath above the door...whoops!

Disney On Ice

We had tickets for Disney On Ice last year but it was the day Minneapolis received over 18" of snow.  When they called the plows off the road we knew it was a good decision not to go.  Fortunately we received vouchers for this year's show and I'm glad we had to wait an entire year to go.  Wyatt was at a much better age and the show this year was "less princess" for him to enjoy PLUS our seats were awesome.

Quality Cousin Time!

Wyatt loves the time he gets to spend with his cousins.  Jemma was at a friend's house so Wyatt had quality "boy" time all afternoon.

Elf on the Shelf...Spencer

A co-worker of mine told me about Elf on the Shelf last Christmas so I eagerly purchased a brown haired, blue eyed elf and introduced him to Wyatt.  We were a few pages into the book when it came time to name your elf and Wyatt said, "Truck!"  At that point, as he was showing little interest in the book, I closed it and said to myself, "maybe next year."  I was bummed but he was clearly too young to understand.  Spencer debuted last night and it was magical :)  Spencer arrived on Wyatt's shelf last night and he immediately was intrigued.  Spencer flies to the North Pole every evening to report into Santa and comes back in a new location the next morning.  Day one was a hit- I'm hoping it will stick!

Spencer!
